VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Complementary Therapies
This is a substantial vocational qualification for learners seeking to pursue a career as a Complementary Therapist. This qualification is recognised by the UK’s leading professional body (the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT)) as being fit for providing learners with the relevant knowledge and skills to progress to a Technical Level qualification in Complementary Therapy at Level 3.
Mandatory units cover the following:
Introduction to principles and practice of complementary therapies
Introduction to clinic services and business awareness for complementary therapies
Anatomy, physiology and pathology for complementary therapies
Provide basic massage therapy techniques for complementary therapies
Provide basic aromatherapy techniques using pre-blended oils
Provide basic reflexology techniques
Introduction to healthy eating and wellbeing for the complementary therapy client
Learners will have their knowledge and skills assessed in a real or realistic working environment.
No kit is required to carry out the course and all learners will be given a Tunic for free.
Vtct Level 2 Cosmetic Make-Up and Beauty Consultancy
Throughout this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of the skin, health and safety, client care and cosmetic products. You will also develop a range of technical skills enabling you to prepare the skin and apply a variety of make-up products using different techniques. Throughout this qualification you will learn to provide a complete nail service and obtain the skills required to work as a professional nail technician, either self-employed or within a salon. You will learn a wide range of practical skills, from polishing techniques, to how to achieve in-demand nail enhancement services using Acrylic extension products - always with professional results.

The course is assessed via Multiple Choice Exams, Practical Observations and Written portfolio work.
The course will start on Thursday 22nd April 2022 and will run 1 day a week 9.30am-2.30pm
The duration of the course is 26 weeks.
Cheshire Training Academy will supply all the products tools and equipment required to complete this course. A tunic is supplied.

Pregnancy Massage
Accredited by Federation of Holistic Therapists - in partnership with FFA
Entry Requirements - Must have a massage qualification / experience of massage
The Pregnancy Massage course is an intensive course that is unique in that we provide training in safe techniques for massage in the first as well as the second and third trimesters. Students will also learn and understand –
· Anatomical and Physiological changes during the three trimesters
· Towel Management and maintaining clients dignity
· Looking after your posture while working on a pregnant client
· Client consultation and contra-indications
· After care advice and strengthening exercises
· Common conditions during pregnancy
· Serious and life-threatening complications of pregnancy
· Contra-indications to pregnancy massage
· Changes and adjustments during the first 6 weeks 25
· Massage during the first trimester
· Massage during the second trimester, comfort and positioning
· Side-lying techniques for the second and third trimester
· Post-natal massage
